BTC Technologies Accepted Into SBA 8(a) Business Development Program

Ellicott City MD, September 11, 2015: BTC Technologies (BTC) announced today it has been certified as a participant in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program. The 8(a) Business Development Program is a welcome addition to BTC’s tools, which makes it possible for the firm to receive managerial, technical, and contractual assistance from the Small Business Administration to ready the firm and its owners for success in the private industry.
 
As a participant in the 8(a) Business Development Program, BTC Technologies will be able to receive sole-source contracts, up to a ceiling of $4 million for goods and services and $6.5 million for manufacturing. SBA 8(a) certification will allow BTC Technologies to form joint ventures and teams to bid on contractsand participate in SBA’s Mentor-Protégé program. This enhances the ability of BTC Technologies to perform larger prime contracts and overcome the effects of contract bundling, the combining of two or more contracts together into one large contract.
